About Us…

The University of the Arts Alumni Association’s mission is to provide a foundation of representation for all our alumni. The Alumni Association facilitates, develops, and nurtures the relationships between alumni, the University of the Arts, and creative communities at large.

The goal of the Alumni Council is to provide essential resources and insights, support communications and engagement initiatives, promote networking and collaborative efforts, and support the legacy of the University, its innovative artists, and creative leaders in the arts.

Post closure, our expressed goals are not limited to but include the preservation and sustaining of the Alumni Association with which we were appointed and tasked with leadership, and to fulfill our responsibility to the University of the Arts as outlined in our Alumni Council Mission & Committee Overviews we committed to upon our appointment to the Council, modified only to reflect departments and initiatives not currently active. We also accept and embrace our displaced fellow community members, such as board members, deans, faculty, and staff.

Post closure, we recognize that the University has retained leadership and operational structure, albeit to scale, and we have remained active in engaging them to request and offer stewardship of relevant University and alumni assets.

The council leadership has remained committed to working with administrative and governmental parties involved with teach-out, sale, merger, acquisition, or any potential re-opening or re-accreditation of the University to ensure the safe transition and transfer of a sustained council and association through to any potential future outcomes.

We are committed to operating with integrity and based on the timeline, information, and facts provided, as well as informed by that structure and those operations, and to rely on the expertise, professional experience, and insights of our council leaders, members, and advisors.

We will continue to explore how to support or pursue the best options forward for the representation and preservation of the University of The Arts, be it in legacy, historical status, or as a potential continued iteration or institution, as well as the potential outcomes listed above and how we might engage and support the goals and missions outlined here.

We do not act on speculation, nor do we endorse, partner, or align collaboratively with any activism or individuals who do not align with our mission and values, or behave or take actions that undermine, are illegal, or to the detriment or threat of the University of The Arts, our Alumni Association, our Council, community, and our mission and values.
