UArts Holiday Party is back Friday December 18th! Celebrate our community and the 150th anniversary of the founding of the University of The Arts at the new Village of Industry and Art with Scout as they welcome us back to 320 S. Broad!

If you were ever part of UArts — as a student, faculty member, staffer, collaborator, neighbor, or friend — you are welcome! We would love to reconnect and share what’s taking shape inside the building now as the Village of Industry + Art (VIA). This gathering is presented in collaboration with Scout and the UArts Alumni Council as part of ongoing efforts to keep the UArts community connected to Hamilton Hall and its next chapter.

Happy Sesquicentennial! Feb. 26 of this year marked the 150th anniversary of the founding of UArts. The Pennsylvania Museum & School of Industrial Art was founded on Feb. 26, 1876.UArts used the 1876 founding date because when Philadelphia College of Art (PCA) and Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts (PCPA) merged in 1985, PCPA was legally dissolved, and UArts operated under the 1876 charter.
